3 Year Journey
3 Year Journey (3YJ) is the name of our 11 a.m. contemporary worship team. Do you love bands like Mercy Me, Casting Crowns, and Lincoln Brewster? Is KTIS a permanent button on your car radio? If so, you will love the contemporary service that this band leads. Our contemporary service is energetic, uplifting, and spirit-filled for people of all ages. 3YJ is made up of members of high school age and up, and consists of vocalists, drums, piano, electric and acoustic guitars and bass. 3YJ’s repertoire is as wide as it is energetic and uplifting, spanning genres from jazzed up standard hymns to the music of today. But – you may be asking – what does the name mean? As we grow in the understanding of our ministry at CCLC, we look to the three years that Jesus spent in his ministry of healing, teaching, performing miracles, and inspiring many to follow. The three-year journey of Jesus inspires us today to use the gift of music to encourage our growth, discipleship, and understanding....for a lifetime journey of faith.
Rehearsals: Sundays at 9:45 a.m., just before the service. There is also an additional three-hour rehearsal on the third Thursday evening of each month.

Solo and small ensemble opportunities: There are a number of other ways to be involved in the music ministry at CCLC. If you are interested in singing or playing solos, or being involved with quartets, please contact one of the directors mentioned above, or contact the church at music@cclcmn.org or 952-941-1247. We are always looking for special music to better enhance our worship services at Community of the Cross.
